Turn up and tap! An evening of improvised tap dance with live jazz from the amazing Michael Cretu (bass) and Mikey Wilson (drums); and a special guest performance from Manchester soul, jazz and funk band Rene. The finale of the latest Tap Rhythm Project course at Band on the Wall; dancers from beginners to pro take the stage hosted by dancer/choreographer and Tap Rhythm Project founder Jess Murray. Whether you want to dance or simply enjoy seeing tap danced with great local jazz musicians, this is an event that everyone will enjoy.
If you fancy a tap try-out we have shoes that you can use on the free ‘Renegade Stage’ taster workshop at 7pm in the Picturehouse with course tutor Karen Wood. No experience necessary. Tap shoes provided.
Jess Murray will run a SPECIAL GENERAL LEVEL OPEN WORKSHOP before the main event kicks off on the main stage. The workshop will take place in Education Room 1 from 6.15-7.15pm. Price £12 (including entry to the Jam) payable at the Box Office as you arrive.
