Friday 10th May 2013
We’re proud to have three of Manchester’s best performing tonight, The Tapestry, The Delaplains and The Watchmakers, bringing retro rock sounds to our stage.
Having toured the full-length of UK alone and with The Courteeners, as well as holding guest performances with The Young Knives, Sound Of Guns and Little Barrie, boy/girl combo The Tapestry are a blast of glam rock and indie. Lucid drumming combined with epic guitar riffs and perfectly tuned vocal harmonies turn into their own brand of garage-pop.
“If there was ever a band to fall instantly in love with, it is The Tapestry! ” John Robb.
“Post-Clash guitar chops and anthems to kill for” Jon Ashley (Manchester Music)
The Delaplains are already showing themselves to be one of the brightest bands in the country. Formed in May 2012 and Inspired by a combined love of 60’s pop and post-punk shoe gaze guitar, the bands output is a unique guitar pop sound.
‘Guitar pop perfection’ – John Robb
‘Honest, passionate and real’ – Badly Drawn Boy
