The Rainband, whose mesmerising performances dazzled the crowds at major festivals including Glastonbury and throughout their UK & European tour last year, are back at Band on the Wall this spring. Their new offering “Sirens” combines the powerful rhythms and epic melodies of the band’s widely acclaimed live sound that confirms their place at independent music’s top table.
Founded in 2010 by front man Martin Finnigan and guitarist Phil Rainey, The Rainband has confidently grown into a punchy indie five piece, picking up the likes of Noel Gallagher and Jim Kerr as fans along the way. After their noticeable debut the band were quickly offered support slots with Simple Minds, Ocean Colour Scene and The Kaiser Chiefs.
Winners of o2’s Rising Stars Award, and with a Top 10 single already under their wings, everybody from 6 Music to Rolling Stone magazine believe they are destined for greatness.and we’re thrilled to have them back.
“Every now and again a band comes along that sounds like the start of something very special……and The Rainband are that band” Chris Hawkins – 6Music
