Saxophonists Andy Schofield and Jo McCallum have created a dynamic new 17 piece jazz orchestra. The line-up unites established artists with the finest of the region’s young emerging talent, as they storm through a selection of original works by North West composers and arrangers.
Their new project for 2010, supported by Arts Council England profiles two national guitar greats, Mike Walker (Jacqui Dankworth, Mike Gibbs, etc.) and Stuart McCallum (Cinematic Orchestra, Don Weller, etc.). The music of these artists has been arranged for the jazz orchestra with guest appearances from these incredible musicians.
