Hard hitting, classic American hard-bop from an all-star sextet led by legendary Herbie Hancock trumpeter Eddie Henderson and the great saxophonist Billy Harper, whose titanic saxophone playing is one of contemporary jazz’s most powerful sounds. Named after the classic Freddie Hubbard Blue Note album ‘Night of the Cookers’ expect pulsing, thunderous hard bop in the great New York tradition.
Their shows are a rollercoaster ride that evoke memories of the jazz of the 50s and 60s, whilst proving that this is music with lasting energy and life-affirming spirit.
