One of the most important folk groups of modern times returns refreshed and revitalised under the leadership of Ashley Hutching’s son Blair Dunlop for an evening of fantastic folk.

The Albion Band are an English folk rock band, originally conceived in the early 70s and brought together and led by musician and founding member of Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span Ashley Hutchings. Generally considered one of the most important English folk groups of all time, The Albion Band has been associated with a large proportion of the major English folk performers in its long and fluid history including Richard and Linda Thompson, Martin Carthy, David Mattacks and Simon Nicol.

In 2011 Ashley stepped aside to let son Blair Dunlop lead a new generation of folk artists and shape an all-new Albion Band emcompassing and energising the band’s roots to continue to make English rock music rooted in tradition. Expect an incredible night in the company of this exciting new chapter in the history of this wonderful group. Special guest support tonight from Jim Molyneux.
