Supernature Disco is a DJ Collective set up by husband and wife team aka BB and Richie V in 2015, with an emphasis on house and disco. They were soon joined by James Greenwood (aka Semi-Skimmed Edits) and Rob Jones, and Supernature on Sundays was born. Dedicated to the party, inclusivity and community, their daytime Sunday parties attract an up-for-it crowd of all ages, sexualities and genders.
They play regularly together and individually at key venues and events in Manchester including Homobloc, Eastern Bloc, La Discotheque, Band on The Wall, Freight Island, and The Refuge. They regularly support Horse Meat Disco at Joshua Brooks and play at Beat-herder, Boogietown, Green Island, and Bluedot festivals. They have a monthly show on award-winning Reform Radio, resident guest DJ slots on the Triple D radio show, and are long-term residents at Ramona in Manchester.
Each DJ has their own style, but it is together that their collective vibe pulls punches of the musical kind. BB and Richie V have a vast vinyl collection, that brings a magic and energy to their sets; James Greenwood is making a name for himself as a Producer with his own label – Semi-Skimmed Edits, and Rob Jones runs his own successful night called Your Disco Needs You.
Supernature events have attracted a cult following and been described as ‘one of the best and friendliest clubs in Manchester’, with the resident DJs’ dancefloor-focussed sets earning them the reputation of being sure-fire party starters.
