The fortnightly free entry acoustic night showcasing the goldmine of emerging musical talent in Manchester and the surrounding area. Also featuring free open mic slots from 6.30pm, the Sunday Sessions are one of the most well-established and well-respected nights on the Manchester acoustic scene.
Skutch Manos (formerly The Acoustic Conquistador) is a hugely talented guitarist from Lancashire whose firecracker performances at Band On The Wall’s Sunday Sessions in 2012 and 2013 left the audience breathless and baying for more. Flamboyant, energetic and precociously talented, Skutch Manos’ playing is as frenetic as it is accomplished. Opening the night with a solo performance.. blink and you might miss him!
Papa Guns & Sons Sans Thumbs are Manchester’s newest and most exciting acoustic 3-piece, being comprised of multi-instrumentalist and song writer, Alex Platt (Alec Splatt Band, Hot Botz Brass Band, Pet Ghosts), singer/songwriter Adam Dubale, and cellist, Amos Meir. Drawing from a diverse range of influences, and never content to be confined to a single style, Papa Guns’ sound is fresh and engaging. With lush 3-part harmonies, some delicate guitar interplay and a bit of Swedish folk thrown in for good measure, these guys are sure to be a musical treat!
Doors at 6pm and Open Mic session from 6.30pm so see you down here for what promises to be a fantastic night!
