Sunday Acoustic Sessions ft. Tim & Robi + Douga

  • Sunday | 14.07.13
  • 6.00pm
  • Band on the Wall, Manchester
  • Free Entry

Sunday Sessions is the free entry acoustic night showcasing the goldmine of emerging musical talent in Manchester and the surrounding area. Also featuring free open mic slots from 6.30pm, the Sunday Sessions are one of the most well-established and well-respected nights on the Manchester acoustic scene.

Tim & Robi

Tim & Robi play contemporary folk with a twist. Their sound is defined by the delicate interplay of acoustic guitar and accordion, topped with thoughtful lyrics and spine tingling harmonies. An up-and-coming act who won’t be up-and-coming much longer!

Douga

Douga were formed by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Johnny Winbolt-Lewis in 2009.  Douga’s early EPs were recorded in the atmospheric surrounds of Salford’s Sacred Trinity Church, and the haunting, ethereal nature of those early recordings has carried into their more recent releases, becoming the backdrop for their thoughtful and compelling lyric-driven tunes. With a very special acoustic performance for Sunday Sessions, featuring Manchester’s favourite nimble-fingered giant, Dan Bridgwood-Hill (aka DBH) on violin, Douga are sure to be the perfect musical end to the weekend.

Doors open at 6pm and open mic from 6.30pm so get down early to book in.
