A new clubbing project from Band on the Wall’s resident hype maestro MC DRS (Soul:ution / Broke ’n’ English / Estate Recordings / Good Looking Records), Summit 🌧gives Manchester’s live bass music community a dedicated home.

Summit 🌧 is a late night journey of bass music discovery – firmly on the underground pulse, a playground where emerging artists and the biggest names our rich musical scene has to offer join forces. Manchester’s finest will be joined each night by established DJs and live acts from around the world that share the spirit of our great city and sound.

DJ Die
DJ Die is a British music producer and DJ. He was a founder of drum and bass label Full Cycle Recordings and a member of acts Reprazent (1997 Mercury Prize winners) and Breakbeat Era.

Together with Roni Size, he originated the seminal “Music Box” which was to become the title track of the debut Full Cycle compilation in 1996. Emerging firstly as a core member of Reprazent and later in 1998 as one third of Breakbeat Era (a project spawned by the “Music Box” track of the same name), he soon found himself remixing for DJs including DJ Shadow, Towa Tei and DJ Cam. His remix of the Reprazent single “Watching Windows” was released in its own right by Talkin’ Loud. He has his own label called Clear Skyz.

DJ Die has also recorded under the aliases Break & Die (DJ Die and DJ Break), Die & Clipz (DJ Die and DJ Clipz), Swabe, 4 Tree, Breakbeat Era (with Leonie Laws and Roni Size), DNA (with Bill Riley), Scorpio (with Roni), Wings (with Roni and Krust), and Kamanchi (with Krust).

Mr Thing
Mr Thing is a British hip hop producer and former member of the Scratch Perverts. He has worked with such artists as Yungun, Doc Brown and Devise. Mr Thing was also the winner of the 2000 DMC UK DJ Championships, and the holder of the 1999 DMC World Team Championships as part of The Scratch Perverts.
