Manchester Jazz Festival heads deep south for The Big Easy – it’s official closing party hosted by Band on the Wall. Direct from New Orleans are acclaimed funk jazz outfit The Stanton Moore Trio featuring blues-tinged guitar, swirling hammond and Moore’s legendary, muscular drumming.
Support comes from the like-minded Manchester Music Makers playing rip-roaring covers of Dr John, The Meters, Professor Longhair, Neville Brothers and all that is good about New Orleans Funk and Jazz. DJ support from Band on the Wall’s Mike Chadwick (Jazz FM) playing New Orleans Funk.
