Somewhere Soul Afterparty x MJF

  • Band on the Wall, Manchester

Somewhere Soul presents a night of groove-heavy dance music from around the world as part of our Manchester Jazz Festival programme this May! Expect anything and everything from soulful house, Brazilian boogie and Middle-Eastern Disco.

The night is curated by Josh Mason-Quinn, the London-based DJ and founder of the new discovery platform Somewhere Soul. Driven by a lifelong obsession with “the music that’s still out there,” Josh has built a community of over 1 million music fans who trust his ear for jazz fusion, psychedelic soul, and Afro-funk.

Josh has spent years honing his craft – from his early days supporting heavyweights like Maribou State and FKJ to his recent sold-out “Music to Expand Your Horizons” series at iconic venues like London’s Jazz Cafe. Whether he’s broadcasting on Balamii or performing at Love Supreme, Josh’s mission remains the same: to enrich lives through rare rhythms and infectious energy.
