A dazzling line up of top saxophonists from the worlds of jazz, pop and contemporary music join forces with an all-star rhythm section in Andy Scott’s SaxAssault. With saxophones of all sizes from soprano to bass, this is a jazz group like no other.

Sax Assault was created back in 1995 when Band on the Wall approached Andy to create an ensemble to perform new music that would be commissioned from him. It was agreed that a nine-sax ensemble (sopranino to bass sax !) plus rhythm section would be a vehicle for Andy’s new compositions.
SaxAssault recently performed in a televised concert in Slovenia with the Yellowjackets & RTV Slovenia Big Band and has been featured on BBC Radio 3 ‘Jazz Notes’ performing new compositions by Andy commissioned as a result of him being a recipient of the Peter Whittingham Award.
This show starts at 8pm but our Picturehouse cafe bar will be open earlier for home made food and drinks.
