Salsa de Cuba presents “A Tribute to Latin Divas”

For this special night, Salsa de Cuba welcomes two Manchester-based female singers, Beatriz Rodrigues and Stizz, who will take center stage to honor the legendary artists who have inspired millions worldwide. Together with the full band, they will perform a curated repertoire spanning the golden era of salsa through to today’s Latin charts.

Expect 70s classics, heavy Timba and modern favorites from iconic artists including La Lupe, Celia Cruz, Yolandita Rivera, Selena, Karol G, and many more. From the powerful Afro Cuban roots of salsa to romantic “boleros” and contemporary Latin anthems, this special show pays tribute to the strength, passion, charisma, and unmistakable voices of the women who have shaped the soundtrack of Latin America.
Salsa de Cuba, led by Cuban musicians Juan Sanchez and Reinier Bazán, lifelong friends who have been performing together for more than two decades, is dedicated to bringing the authentic sound of Cuba to audiences across the UK. Originally from Havana and now based in the North West of England, Juan and Reinier have joined forces with Manchester drummer Laurie Agnew to create a vibrant ensemble that combines the infectious rhythms of Salsa, Timba, Bachata, Son Cubano, and Afro-Cuban music.

Renowned for their explosive live performances, Salsa de Cuba performs Cuban music as it is heard today rich in tradition, full of improvisation, and bursting with energy. Their passion for Timba, with its irresistible fusion of salsa, rumba, funk, and jazz influences, creates an atmosphere that is impossible to resist, while always maintaining a deep respect for the roots of Cuban salsa.
