Pama International’s deep connection with Trojan Records began in 2006 when they became the first new band to sign with the iconic reggae label in 30 years. Their album ‘Trojan Sessions’ featured songs by Sean Flowerdew, performed by reggae legends like Derrick Morgan and Dawn Penn. In 2016, they launched Trojan Records’ club night in London, followed by a successful 2018 UK tour that ended with sold-out shows at the O2 Academy Islington. In spring 2025, Pama International will present The Trojan Songbook Part 2, featuring Trojan hits and new material from their album ‘Return of the Unity Rockers’. Attendees will receive an exclusive collector’s Trojan songbook.
Since 2001, Pama International has released seventeen albums and recorded five BBC sessions, earning praise from DJs like David Rodigan and Steve Lamacq. They’ve collaborated with artists such as Ken Boothe, and their lineup includes members from The Specials and Madness. Sean Flowerdew’s music has featured in films like ‘Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels’. The band has a strong live following, performing with The Specials and Jimmy Cliff, and at festivals like Glastonbury.
