Blowing away audiences at this year’s Glastonbury, blues guitar prodigy Oli Brown first picked up a guitar in 2002 and just 2 ½ years later, at 15, he was invited to play in America as the guest of American Blues band Blind Dog Smokin’. This first trip saw Oli open for Buddy Guy and Taj Mahal and more recently Johnny Winter, Jon Cleary, Devon Allman, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and many more.

Signing to Ruf Records in January 2008, Oli’s debut album, Open Road, was recorded and released that May and received great reviews from both the UK and Europe and was voted the Number 2 Blues album of 2008 by readers of Blues Matters. This year the Oli Brown Band swept the board at the British Blues Awards with Oli winning Best Male Vocalist of the the Year and Young Artist of the Year and the bands drummer Simon Dring taking Drummer of the Year. Expect a night of dazzling virtuosity and beautiful music from the great new star of British blues and his tremendous band.

This concert will begin at 8pm. Drinks and delicious food available in Picturehouse Cafe Bar from 5.30pm.
