The Manchester College’s label, Leverage Records celebrates the end of the academic year with Off The Wall, a unique event combining talented local and UK artists.
The Kaptivators are a Manchester based collective with funk and rhythm in their bones! Their sound is an eclectic mix of hip-hop, soul, electro and dub. Uplifting themes and social commentary form part of their story, the strong live set-up will rock you!
The Sanderson Pitch. Described as a ‘hip new band’ by the Daily Mirror when a host of celebrities were spotted at a gig at West London’s Cobden Club in April 2005, and picked up for a radio session by Andrea Oliver for her Sony Award winning show The Selector, The Sanderson Pitch reputation has snowballed, and even earned them spots at London’s Troubadour, Metro, and the prestigious Pizza Express Jazz Club – which they promptly sold out.
Joe Dunne is an 18 year old singer-songwriter, whose unique brand of acoustic indie-rock combining witty lyrics with sharp vocals and memorable melodies has taken his hometown Rochdale – along with Bury and Manchester – by storm. In March 2014 Joe earned himself a recording contract to release his debut single with Leverage Records after winning the record label’s talent search competition.
The highly anticipated single, titled ‘Youth of Today’, will be released onto iTunes and several other platforms on the 9th June.
