Band on the Wall presents a series of free entry gigs and DJ sets on our custom made second stage, located to the rear of our brand new bar. We’ll be shining a light on our favouring emerging artists across all genres with a diverse programme of global sounds from, and inspired by, the music of cultures from around the world.

Soulful newcomer Femi Tahiru dropped his highly anticipated debut EP, D.E.M.O.S in 2021 – an acronym for Definitely Emotional Maybe Overly Sensitive. The bedroom pop inspired, wistful banger Signs went viral on the ever-growing platform TikTok pulling in over 500,000 streams in a week, and the seamlessly silky serenade Asking For received acclaim from tastemakers such as BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephen’s and Chris Hawkins from BBC 6 Music.

An effortless, polished and emotive performer, Femi has built a great reputation across iconic grassroots venues in Manchester. With the live music scene starting up again, he announced his headline show that later sold out at The Paper Dress Vintage in London.
The latest singles Counting On You & Home saw continued support from BBC Radio 1 Xtra’s Jam Supernova, BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, as well as receiving Track of the Week on BBC Introducing in Manchester. Blending smooth R&B vocals over soulful chords and vibrant beats, Femi is pioneering a unique and new sound that he continues to grow with every release.
