Nir Felder is a renowned American jazz and session guitarist, composer, and record producer. Born on December 30, 1982, in New York City, Felder grew up in the suburbs, where he developed his musical skills by playing in rock bands and learning about jazz at local record stores. Inspired by icons like John Coltrane and Jimi Hendrix, he attended Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship. After moving to New York City in 2006, Felder became a highly sought-after sideman, collaborating with artists such as Diana Krall, Erykah Badu, Brad Mehldau, and John Mayer. He has released several albums, including Golden Age (2014), II (2020), and III (2024), and has won DownBeat‘s Critic’s Poll for “Rising Star Guitarist” in 2021 and 2023. Felder is also a faculty member at The New School and Berklee College of Music
