An evening of cutting-edge, experimental and leftfield music featuring the neo-classical, fragile piano pieces of Nils Frahm, the electronic drone loops of Alexander Tucker and Eastern psychedelic minimalism of Date Palms.

Nils Frahm

“Wunderkind pianist Nils Frahm (playing is) dreamlike and compelling…his hypnotic, immersive qualities never faltering” **** Mojo Magazine

German pianist Nils Frahms studied piano with Nahum Brodski and has worked with the likes of Peter Broderick and Machinefabriek‘s Rutger Zuyderveltd and is now considered a major player in the avant, neo-classical scene. His exquisite, crystalline playing is delicate to the point where you feel it could snap in the air at any time. A musican in perfect command of his art that we are thrilled to welcome to Band on the Wall.

Alexander Tucker

Alexander Tucker is an English musician who writes, records and performs by manipulating his cello and other instruments with tape loops, pedals, field recordings, distortion and vocals to mesmeric effect. With influences ranging from folk to metal, hardcore and beyond, the result is something that trancends them all.

Date Palms

Date Palms sound is a strange and exotic fusing of Eastern style raga drones with a hypnotic Spacemen 3 style, bass buzzed psychedelia. The result is an intriguing mix of slowcore, spacerock and dronedrift that is abstract, minimal and baroque in equal measure.
