Original acid jazz pioneer Nicola Conte brings his delectable fusion of latin nu jazz, bossa nova and downtempo to Manchester for this rare live treat.

Club-selecta-turned-bandleader Nicola Conte was originally known for introducing an innovative style of acid jazz that incorporated bossa nova themes, melodies drawn from Italian film scores of the 1960s, easy listening themes, and ethnic Indian music. His 2001 single release Bossa Per Due, released on the Thievery Corporation‘s label, gained international recognition back in 20001 and was a major underground hit.
In recent years Conte has shifted away from knocking out dance-floor bangers towards an altogether more sophisticated and spiritual aesthetic that has suited the classically-trained musician in him well and his latest acclaimed release, Rituals, exemplifies his developing nu jazz direction. Come indulge your senses at The Band.
