New Manchester review presents another FREE ENTRY night of fine new music, ft. The Dunes, Waiters & Wilson Minds live, plus special guest DJs Shake ‘n Fingerpop.
The Dunes
The Dunes are an exciting acoustic soul band who hail from the spiritual home of Northern Soul, Wigan. Featuring one of the most beautiful and gutsy female soul vocalists we’ve heard in quite some time, they are definitely one of our tips for the future.
Waiters
Waiters absolutely wowed us at Band on the Wall when supporting legendary post punk band The Monochrome Set a few months back, and we just had to invite them to return. Blending lo-fi, distorted guitars with minimal drums and beautiful, effortless vocals, Waiters have remained rather enigmatic since their inception and it really is a special treat to have them play again for us.
Wilson Minds
Wilson Minds has been flying the flag for Americana from his rehearsal room, stages and now having had a record produced by the award-winning producer of The Verve’s “Urban Hymns” – Chris Potter – he feels it’s time to let his songs be heard, and it is our pleasure to welcome him to Manchester. A mix of Americana, folk and good northern Indie, Wilson Minds promises to tear up the Band on the Wall stage.
Shake ‘n Fingerpop DJs
In between live artists, Shake ‘n Fingerpop DJs will be spinning a stomping mix of jazz, funk & northern soul.
