Modul:Projects and Brighter Sound present Modul:Meets, a series of free sessions for anyone interested in electronic music performance, composition and production.

Each Modul:Meets session features a different artist working at the forefront of electronic music, who will give an insight into their live performance and recording methods, as well as tips and advice for your own work.

Composer and sound artist Sam Weaver uses his studio as a laboratory for sonic investigation and production, re-routing instruments into abstraction and deliberately misusing his equipment. Sam’s work exists between acousmatic music, free improvisation and experimental electronics, seeking to explore the dynamics of sonic harmony and chaos.

He is one half of the London outfit Hungryghost, and has recorded and performed with Charles Hayward, Danny Saul, Ecka Mordecai, Otto Wilberg, Rachel Goodyear, Konstrukt, Tombed Visions, Gnod and Kevin Drumm. Alongside this he also finds time to curate and run Cusp Editions, an imprint that champions new sonic territories in electronics, improvisation and beyond.

He will be performing with his Hordjik analogue modular synthesiser and taking you through his processes to demystify the often esoteric world of modular synthesis. Don’t miss this one-off opportunity to meet and chat to one of the best modular experts in the game.

Modul:Projects is a collective of electronic musicians and artists. They explore methods for collaboration within electronic and experimental music through unique artistic residencies and events, focusing on pioneering innovative methods of electronic composition and non-traditional live performance.

Modul:Meets sessions are open to all ages and are free but must be booked online in advance.
