A real treat of a night as we present traveller, troubador and much-loved songwriter Michelle Shocked. Still writing music of incredible depth, insight and beauty, expect this to be an intimate evening you’ll cherish for a long, long time.

For over 20 years, acclaimed picker-poet Michelle Shocked has been one of America’s most influential acoustic artists . In the ’80’s she was thrust into an inadvertent recording career when a bootleg tape of stunningly original songs was released in the UK and her incredible talent exposed to the world. In the ensuing bidding war following the phenomena of what became known on release as The Texas Campfire Tapes, Mercury Records signed her and she produced a trilogy of Grammy-nominated albums over the next five years, launched by her signature song and massive hit, Anchorage. One of America’s great singer songwriters, a very special night is promised – tickets on sale now.

“I’m the most sophisticated hillbilly you’ll ever meet.” Michelle Shocked
