Ålesund are an alt pop band from Bristol UK, fronted by the power house vocals of British-Norwegian singer-songwriter Alba Torriset. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of musical genres and artists, Ålesund’s sound is a blend of anthemic pop hooks, atmospheric soundscapes and jangly Western guitar riffs, which have brought comparisons to the likes of Kate Bush, Florence and the Machine, Stevie Nicks and London Grammar.

Together with her band, Megan creates forest pop soundscapes that gather you up and immerse you in cinematic storytelling. Having released her debut album ‘East Of The Sun’ in 2023, Megan Dixon Hood is set to release new music later this year, inviting listeners into a world of magic and mystery.
