Band on the Wall presents a series of free entry gigs and DJ sets on our second stage, located to the rear of our brand new bar. We’ll be shining a light on our favouring emerging artists across all genres with a diverse programme of global sounds from, and inspired by, the music of cultures from around the world.
A rising star in a flourishing Manchester music scene, jazzy-nu-R&B type neo soul artist Mali Hayes is one of our favourites – so much so we released her new single via our record label, Band on the Wall Recordings!
Tonight, Mali is joined by Secret Night Gang’s very own Kemani Anderson. Heavily influenced by church growing up, Anderson then developed a passion for soul, R&B, reggae and jazz music and became inspired by the likes of Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Earth, wind and Fire, Chaka Khan , Al Jarreau, D’angelo and many other artists.
