Malcolm Strachan is one of the top session trumpeters in the UK today who has recorded and toured with the likes of Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse, Corinne Bailey Rae, Jamiroquai, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, Jess Glynne, The Craig Charles Fantasy Funk Band, Black Honey, The New Mastersounds, The Abstract Orchestra and Blue Note Records jazz saxophone legend Lou Donaldson. Of course, he’s also a founder and existing band member of UK funk kings The Haggis Horns. With over 20 years experience as a professional musician, he features on scores of music releases and has played concerts across the world. Two decades as a sideman and band member, he finally stepped out as a solo artist in 2020 delivering his first album “About Time”, a return to his original musical love, jazz.
After two and a half years since his debut solo release, Malcolm’s eagerly awaited second album “Point Of No Return” is released on vinyl on Friday 27th January 2023.
