Following her sell-out concert last year, Manchester’s favourite daughter returns for a very special 2-night residency at Band on the Wall.
Vocalist with Lamb, Manchester’s Lou Rhodes solo work veers away from that band’s trip hop groove into an intriguing folk style. Nominated for a Mercury Music Prize for 2006’s Beloved One, this self-confessed ’emotional junkie’ produces deeply romantic ballads swathed in fragile acoustic guitars, violin and double bass.
Support comes from Dan Arborise whose musical stylings have been regularly compared with those of John Martyn and Nick Drake.
This seated concert will begin at 8pm.
