Band on the Wall presents a series of free entry gigs and DJ sets on our second stage, located to the rear of our brand new bar. We’ll be shining a light on our favourite emerging artists across all genres with a diverse programme of global sounds from, and inspired by, the music of cultures from around the world.
Kill-Joy promotions are taking over the Band on the Wall bar stage for a late night show bringing you the best and most exciting bands from the local scene followed by DJs .
Taking the stage first are Maruja:
This Manchester based 4 piece exceed all expectations and breakdown preconceived notions of genre. Their explosive live shows sit somewhere in the void between post punk, psychedelic and jazz topped off with fierce punk/rap vocals.
From the unstoppable drums providing energy and groove perfectly blended with funky bass lines, the hypnotic saxophone and aggressive vocal performance, each member adds their own twist to create something new and unique.
Followed by a DJ set by Charlie Marriott spinning everything from post punk and indie to dance floor classics, make sure you’ve got your dancing shoes, this is not one to be missed.
