Band on the Wall presents a series of free entry gigs and DJ sets on our second stage, located to the rear of our brand new bar. We’ll be shining a light on our favourite emerging artists across all genres with a diverse programme of global sounds from, and inspired by, the music of cultures from around the world.
Manchester-born duo KARL (George Grundy & David Burgoyne) are exploratory beat-makers and instrumentalists, meshing jazz, hip-hop and R&B. Reminiscent of the L.A. instrumental hip-hop coming out of labels such as Brainfeeder and Stones Throw, Karl has already had radio play and support from the likes of Jay Phelps (Worldwide FM) and rapper Mike Larry Draw. This show is celebrating the release of the first of two EPs this summer on Portal Records.
They will play all new music and feature John Kelly on sax, with support from Manchester DJ duo On&On.
