These friendly events are led by Jubacana’s young leaders and supported by a team of great musicians, drummers and dancers, and are directed by Holly Prest and Youth Director Emma (15). No experience necessary, just loads of friendly energy and enthusiasm!
These accessible workshops will pass on some of the most exciting mass drum techniques of Brazil on a wide variety of traditional Northeast-Brazilian percussion instruments (all provided) as well as offering opportunities to play drums, guitars, keyboards, and sing. Bring along any other instruments you play to add to the mix – brass, wind, strings, mouth-organ or mandolin! Infectious rhythms, melodic instruments and voices will join together to create a formidable youth sound like no other.
