‘Sounds of the Sea’ with Jubacana
Join the emerging & talented young leaders of Jubacana and enjoy the sounds of the Brazilian seaside with vocal and percussion music to lift the spirits.
Jubacana is Manchester’s newest youth led percussion and dance ensemble. In this one-off family workshop you will sing to folkloric mermaids, drum to Brazil’s ancestors, and be inspired by the capabilities of our city’s upcoming youth leaders. This session will be delivered by experienced percussion artist and workshop leader Holly Prest supported by some of her talented young artists wanting to share their developing passion for Brazilian music and culture. Expect this workshop to leave you tapping and humming all the way home!
Entry requirements: A willingness to participate, an open mind and enthusiasm! This workshop welcomes complete beginners, those with musical experience, and excitable children and adults alike! All instruments are provided.
This workshop is limited to 25 places, so get your tickets fast!
Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
