Jon Boden and the Remnant Kings – Manchester Folk Festival

  • Thursday | 20.03.25
  • 7.00pm
  • Band on the Wall, Manchester
  • £23 Advance

Bellowhead frontman and one half of Spiers & Boden, Jon Boden founded his band The Remnant Kings in 2009 to perform the album ’Songs from the Floodplain’, the first in his post-apocalyptic trilogy of self-penned albums. They were reunited to record and perform ‘Afterglow’ in 2017, and in 2019 headed to the legendary Rockfield Studios to record the album ‘Rose In June’ (2019) focusing on more traditional material. A new band album of mostly traditional songs ‘Black Against The Sun’ (Hudson Records) will be released in September 2024.

For every festival show, we have set aside an allocation of tickets for wristband holders, so all you need to do is turn up and you’ll be let in. However, for particularly popular shows expected to sell out, we recommend arriving early to secure entry, as this would be the only instance where admission might be limited.
