We offer up the perfect libation of lively evening blues sessions from Dr Truth – complimented by up to 20 real ales from across the country for this year’s Manchester Jazz Festival.
Dr Truth
Dr Truth is a Blues / R ‘n’ B band formed in 2009 by Chris Roach and Mike “Uncle Dinners” Bowden,( both members of the Roach Twins Band ). The band during 2010 performed headline spots at the Morcambe and Colne Blues Festivals and are winning fans across the UK and Europe. The band perform there own self penned numbers, ranging from traditional to contemporary Blues with a few choice covers in the live set. The band will also feature Piano and Hammond style organ (Paul Ashton).
The band continue to showcase the virtuoso performances and great songs which Chris Roach and “Uncle Dinners” are renowned for in their work with the Roach Twins Band. The band’s rhythm section will also feature the top notch drum work of Rick Lacey and the melodic and punchy bass playing of Dave Luvin.
