Described as velvet and pure magic, with vocals capable of ANYTHING – just a few of the superlatives used to describe vocalist Jocelyn Knight.
Jocelyn began performing her own song and dance routines at the age of 5. Heavily influenced by her mother, a professional solo singer in the 70’s, she would join in while rehearsing her shows.
She was encouraged by her mother to take singing seriously as a profession – as a teenager Jocelyn appeared in choirs and created her own teenage dance troupe. Later she Joined an original RnB band as a singer/songwriter, a contemporary Christian soft rock band as a singer songwriter/performer, and became a worship leader, dancer and bass player at her local church.
Jocelyn went on to create a Motown big band and became a solo tribute artist covering the queens of Motown, along with Donna Summers and Whitney Houston. Jocelyn is a professional singer-songwriter who has travelled the UK and Europe with original cover bands and bands such as Boney M, performing original songs spanning RnB, soul, soft rock, pop, dance and blues.
Later, she created a weekly songwriting and performing arts club called ‘Safe’ with her local church for the disadvantaged children in her area.
Jocelyn is known for her sultry voice, stage presence, adaptability, vocals range and creativity, as a songstress, an entertainer and an educator.
