Infinite Ensemble presents: D’Angelo – Voodoo

Manchester’s Infinite Ensemble proudly presents a full live performance of Voodoo, the groundbreaking album by D’Angelo.

Performed by an 11-piece band, this show is a detailed and heartfelt tribute to one of the most influential records in modern music. With a strong focus on the original album arrangements, the ensemble honours the depth, groove and nuance of Voodoo, while incorporating carefully chosen elements from D’Angelo’s live performances to allow space for improvisation and reinterpretation.

At the front of the ensemble are four dedicated vocalists — Lisa Olivant (also serving as vocal arranger), Amber Kuti, Ben Sharples and Tom-Barber Redmore — delivering the record’s rich and layered vocal textures. They are joined by Jonny Murray (trumpet) and Dan Berry (saxophone), whose horn arrangements add depth and energy to the performance.

The rhythm section features Craig Hanson (drums), Adisa Allen (percussion), Elliot Whitty (guitar), Toby Saunders (keyboards), and Jonathan Towers (musical director and bass), forming a tight, expressive foundation that captures the album’s signature feel.

All members of Infinite Ensemble are active performers across Manchester, Liverpool, and the wider UK, with extensive experience touring nationally and internationally.
