Summertime, and the learning is easy! Start from scratch, continue to the next level, or brush up on your skills and repertoire. This popular course has something for every aspiring harmonicist!

Easy to learn, fun to play, cheap to get started on and widely used in many styles from folk to classical; with a Hamonica you carry a world of music in your pocket. Dispel the myths, reveal the mysteries. Beginners learn the fundamental techniques and some simple blues, country and folk tunes (with a bit of Beethoven thrown in). Those who want to build on their technique and learn new accessible tunes we are starting a Beginners Continued class. Players at an intermediate and advanced level will learn more complicated tunes and techniques (such as note-bending) and some aspects of music theory.

This great 10 week course is led by the renowned blues and Irish traditional harmonica virtuoso and teacher Mat Walklate. Mat plays with acoustic blues band Depot and the Irish traditional group, The House Devils. His new album ‘Cold in April’ is out now.

This course is open to all ages and abilities and will be great fun.  Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
