Band on the Wall presents a series of late night free entry gigs and DJ sets on our custom made second stage, located to the rear of our brand new bar. We’ll be shining a light on our favouring emerging artists across all genres with a diverse programme of global sounds from, and inspired by, the music of cultures from around the world.
STEAM Radio co-founder, Hannah O’Gorman, has been found across the airwaves at the likes of Tsugi Radio, Threads, Melodic Distraction, MCR Live, Vandelay, and more; playing everything from psych to folk to experimental electronics and chatting away about the tunes she loves. Currently you can find her holding down a regular Brazilian music show on Reform Radio, called “A Menina Dança”, where she explores an eclectic mix of sounds from her mum’s home country.
Over the last year she’s been bringing hip-shaking Down-Tempo, Samba, Bossa Nova, and Latin Hip-Hop to bars across Manchester and the heavier sounds of Afro/Latin House, Baile Funk, Kuduro, and UK Funky to support slots for the likes of global bass stars Hagan, Mina & Bryte, and Pongo.
