George Clinton, the Godfather of Funk, is without doubt one of planet earth’s most influential musical innovators. He is the single most sampled artist in music history with his signature grooves crossing all boundaries, he has been showing the world what the funk is for fifty years and his career mirrors musical trends from doo-wop to hip hop, funk, soul & rock.
Clinton and his touring ensemble of singers, dancers, circus clowns, roller girls, virtuoso musicians and galactic space travellers deliver a live performance that is so energised and visually spectacular that they’re often mistaken for interstellar beings from another galaxy.
“I can’t wait to grow this P-Funk thang all over again,” George says “We got four generations of fans out there who keep bugging me to get these live shows out there, and now’s the time to show the world what the funk is all about.”
