Cardiff-based four-piece Sock emerged on the local scene in late 2017 as a fully formed, perfectly defined musical force. Attention-grabbing live sets on Sofar Sounds and at Sŵn Festival, as well as support slots with emerging Cardiff stalwarts Boy Azooga and Buzzard, pricked the ears of all encountering them; their lazy, trippy, funk-rock instantly both endearing and impressive. People even lovingly threw their actual socks at them.
Dylan is a multi-talented singer, rapper and instrumentalist independently writing music that sounds more like it was created on the east side of Atlanta rather than in a small town near Middlesbrough.
Having played the inaugural Free Vibes last year, we welcome back Slowhandclap – a Manchester grunge trio whose influences include Pavement, Sonic Youth, Fugazi and more.
Scruffy Bear are Georgina Eaton, Ryan Hunt, Sass Lafferty and Ryan Robb – A 4 piece based in Manchester, which harness the raw and earthy feel of the natural world. In contrast to today’s fast-paced world, Scruffy Bear bring slow-cooked Blues to the modern era.
Fresh on the Manchester music scene, Octopus combine britpop melodies with jangly guitars alongside a breezy rhythm section to form their own brand of tentacle rock.
This is a standing show.
