Band on the Wall presents Free Jazz – a free-entry event showcasing some of the most exciting new artists pushing genre boundaries, playing jazz, electronic, hip-hop, funk, soul and experimental sounds. Come down and discover new music from the likes of Trampette, Odd Soul, Polar Institute & Neil C. Young. Entry is free, so come on down. Click ‘going’ on the Facebook event to get all the latest updates.
Trampette first came together in the summer of 2017, and have been tirelessly writing, rehearsing, and performing since. Having each studied jazz, they decided to form the band in order to explore their love of groove music, inspired by artists such as Yussef Kamaal, Makaya McCraven, and Herbie Hancock. They give high-energy performances designed to get people dancing, and recently supported Alfa Mist at Hare and Hounds.
Odd Soul fuse their love of modern jazz and soul with stratospheric post rock influences.
Manchester five-piece playing post-rock and modern classical music, inspired by landscape and nature in isolation.
