Flightless Birds
Flightless Birds is Alex Dineen, Jon Needham and Dan Peate. They take many elements of a classic jazz guitar trio and fuse them with a heavily electronic sound and the energy of a rock trio. Think Squarepusher meets Pat Metheny meets Battles.
Skwid Ink
Skwid Ink are a raucous and theatrical quartet from the up and coming Leeds based label, Tight Lines.
Lucy Mae
Lucy Mae is a singer & lyricist from Manchester England, writing alongside French multi instrumentalist and producer, Luc Phan.
The full band consists of: Joe Wood (drums), Tom Chapman (bass) (with Phan on Guitar, Loop Station and Saxophone). The quartet also feature & collaborate with various players from around the UK. 2017 saw Lucy Mae & band receive a beautiful reception following the release of their debut EP with performances at Manchester Jazz Festival, Band on the Wall (supporting YolanDa Brown) and a small tour of Europe, the UK & South East Asia, 2019 will see the release of the debut album (and hopefully many more adventures).
Têtes de Pois
Têtes de Pois are a high energy, seven piece instrumental band based in Leeds, performing original music influenced by jazz, hip-hop, afro-beat and more.
