Band on the Wall presents a special festive edition of Free Jazz – a free-entry event showcasing some of the most exciting new artists pushing genre boundaries, playing jazz, electronic, hip-hop, funk, soul and experimental sounds. Come down and discover new music from the likes of Burton & Miller, Heavy Lemo, Wingspread and Will Tang Clan. Entry is free, so come on down. Burton & Miller
Burton & Miller is a British jazz fusion duo composed of drums and bass, Emanuel J Burton and Alex “Reverend Beanz” Miller. Pushing the boundaries within melody, space and time and exploring the theoretics of their musical vocabulary.
Heavy Lemo
Heavy Lemo are a funk/jazz/hip-hop band from Liverpool. Their music is laid-back but still tight and grippy.
Will Tang Clan
Will Tang Clan is a collective project of some of the most prominent working musicians on the Manchester live scene. A cross genre experience blending elements of funk, jazz, pop, rock and soul, yet always keeping an improvisational edge.
This is a standing show.
