Manchester’s femme-fronted 6-piece outfit Femme De La Femme return for the third time to the Copper Bar stage for another highly anticipated headline performance, with support from the Jade Serafin trio.
On a mission to create and embrace delectable new sound worlds, Femme De La Femme span an array of genres, from jazz-groove, R&B, to cabaret-inspired numbers, spoken word and folk-inspirations. FDLF have no interest in anything other than traversing genre-definition and taking the audience wherever the f**k they want – and having a damn good time while they’re at it.
Having recently been a featured artist in Liverpool-based magazine Brassic, as well as performances at Manchester Jazz Festival & Green Island Festival, scoring Pliable Theatre’s production of The Lover & hosting Mascerade, a new drag king cabaret with live jazz, the band is steadily becoming a household name across the North-West music scene.
Supporting, The Jade Serafin trio is a high energy outfit inspired by the likes of jazz greats such as Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane and Eric Dolphy. The group stems around the idea of stretching songs beyond the changes to allow for a more free flowing approach. Members include Jess Mahler (s), Izzy MacMahon (ds) and Jade Serafin (db).
Please note – we understand that money can be tight, and are offering a limited number of concessions tickets to those who may need them.
