“An impeccable menu of pop, folk, tribal call-and-response, classical and Piaf-like ballads” Uncut
Music to watch girls and boys by. Pianist, composer and Prix Constantin nominee Emily Loizeau is part of the French new wave of musicians embracing the chanson tradition and giving it a delightful contemporary edge. With influences ranging from Tom Waits to Nina Simone via Dylan and Devendra Banhart, this is music to thrill the soul and stir the heart in equal measure.
Joining her for this double bill is Manchester singer-songwriter Liz Green whose country blues sound is perfectly complimented by a voice that sounds like it should eminate from a dusty bakelite 78.
Presented in association with Humble Soul.
This concert will begin at 7.50pm.
