Monthly residency from Manchester’s latest complex synth-routed and mechanised robotic percussion jazz and electronic duo.
Rob Turner (ex GoGo Penguin/Blue Note Records) and Liviu Gheorghe (ex Matthew Halsall Orchestra/Gondwana Records) move forward sonically with freedom of improvisation into new realms with their futuristic duo ElfTraps.
After travelling all over the world with their previous groups they come home to Manchester and its finest venue Band On The Wall. As anyone should know a residency allows a band to sharpen and fine tune a live performance. So after beavering away in the studio for some time, a few secret gigs, refining and discovering new sounds and ideas it is time to bring it into the light. Without this interaction of performer and audience there can be no serious improvisation. Tree falling in a forest etc. So we would love for you to come down, get involved, bring the vibe, and help us forge and temper the new sounds of ElfTraps.
