Séamus Óg is an emerging force within the contemporary folk scene, drawing deeply from his family’s rich musical heritage and strong Irish roots. Specialising in guitar and cittern; a resonant, ten-stringed instrument with chiming, layered tones that bring a distinctive texture to his sound, setting him apart within the modern folk landscape. His 2018 debut album, Best Masala Tea, offered an intimate and raw sound, praised on the acclaimed podcast Tangentially Speaking by Dr. Christopher Ryan. With Terry’s Síbín (2022), and ‘Haul The Pots’ (2025), Séamus expanded his palette. The albums earned airplay on BBC and RTÉ, and his powerful live performances have seen him support and share stages with artists like Chris Brain, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Ríoghnach Connolly & Honeyfeet, and Mikey Kenney. Now performing as a trio, with cello and double bass adding dynamic, delicately arranged layers, his music becomes a living bridge between past and present, family and audience, tradition and innovation.
Jessica Dives
Jessica delights and hypnotises with “Heartfelt and earnest storytelling”(Americana UK) and catchy, soaring melodies, delivered with a vocal quality that stops you in your tracks – a voice compared to powerful voices such as Eddi Reader and Sarah Harmer. Her blend of personal and traditional folklore focussed on the intersection of the natural and emotional world results in a body of work that warms the listener through and lingers long after.
Jessica was the winner of Lichfield Songwriting Competition 2025, Liverpool Songwriting Challenge 2024, has received BBC radio play, and supported folk acts such as Katie Spencer, Megson and Kathryn Williams. As a featured artist in the FATEA Spring 2025 Showcase download and a shortlisted artist for the Purbeck Valley Rising 2025 competition, she is proving she is here to stay.
