The renowned Chetham’s Big Band return to Band on the Wall to present a magical evening of great music featuring special guest and internationally-acclaimed trumpeter Rex Richardson.

Hailed as “An artiste with an exceptional talent who has made a name for himself as one of the finest trumpet players in the world today,” (4barsrest.com) and “one of the world’s most engaging and astonishingly versatile trumpeters,” (Style Weekly), Rex Richardson is considered by many to among the top trumpeters in the world, being named “Personality of the Year” by The Brass Herald.
Chetham’s Big Band
Formed in 1990, Chetham’s Big Bands have enjoyed considerable success on the national jazz scene, broadcasting on Jazz FM and the BBC from London’s Golders Green Hippodrome and Birmingham’s Pebble Mill Studios. They have won many awards including the Junior Section of the BBC Radio 2 Big Band of the Year Competition in 1996, 2000 and 2005.
