Chicago-based contemporary jazz group Blue Earth Sound led by composer and bandleader James Weir bring their sound to Ronnie Scott’s for a late-night set. Signed to London’s DeepMatter Records, their critically acclaimed debut Cicero Nights blends soulful grooves, cinematic textures and intuitive musicianship, drawing on 70s American soul, Japanese jazz, vintage film scores and the introspective moods of Talk Talk.

Since their debut release, Blue Earth Sound has gathered international support across tastemaker radio, including BBC Radio 3, BBC 6 Music via Huey Morgan, and KEXP, establishing the project as a rising voice within the new wave of cinematic, groove-driven instrumental music emerging from Chicago and beyond.
The group consists of Patch Romanowski on drums, Eamonn Prizy on saxophone and flute, Martín Diaz on bass, and Michael Wells on guitar.
