Open to adults and young people over 16; a great guitar course for beginners
The course encompasses a core set of universal guitar skills, whilst remaining flexible, to accomodate students’ individual abilities and personal musical tastes..
This course is taught in 5 week ‘blocks’. In the first 5 weeks, (18th Oct-15th Nov) beginners will learn to play some well known melodies and chord patterns, as well as how to read basic guitar musical notation and some of the fundamentals of technique.
The second 5 weeks (22nd Nov-20th Dec) will expand on what has already been learned, introducing some more diverse and interesting tunes and techniques, as well as some elementary theory.
After 10 weeks, students will have developed the skills and knowledge to develop their guitar playing independently and with confidence, with the option of returning for extra 5 week blocks of more advanced lessons at any time.
Course tutor Adam Dubale is an entirely self-taught guitarist who says.. “given an entry-level course of basic lessons such as this, I could have progressed the same amount in 10 weeks as I did in my first year! I believe that there is more satisfaction to be gained from the freedom of teaching yourself to play than spending years in formal lessons. This course provides students with an invaluable spring-board into the wonderful world of guitar.”

Times: 45 minute lessons from 5pm, 6pm, 8pm,
Price: £100 for five 1 to1 lessons.
